Another action packed day is in store at the ASP Prime Mr Price Pro Ballito and will get underway at 07h30 with the remaining two heats (11 and 12) of the Round of 48 before moving into the Round of 24.
The high tide conditions could prove tricky for surfers in the early heats but as the tide drains towards midday, surfers can expect to see some incredible one-metre walls draining across the sandbank at Willards Beach.
First heat in the water sees David do Camo (BRA) take on Jonathan Gonzalez (CNY), Sebastien Zietz (HAW) and Gabriel Villaran (PER).
Heat 12 will feature Alejo Muniz (BRA), Caio Ibelli (BRA), Glenn Hall (AUS) and Billy Stairmand (NZL).
Just three South Africans remain in contention and will take to the water in the Round of 24. Beyrick De Vries (Umlanga) features in Heat 1, Travis Logie (Durban) in Heat 2 and Jordy Smith (Durban) in Heat 5.
The Mr Price Pro Ballito Music Concerts kick off at Salt Rock Beach tonight with an impressive line-up including Gangs of Ballet, Wonderboom, the Ard Matthews Trio, Shadow Club, aKing, Crash Car Burn and Flash Republic; with the party set to continue on July 7 with Toya Delazy, Lloyd Cele, iscreamstix, Locnville, Pascal & Pearce, GoodLuck and Dino Bravo.
The concerts will get underway between 16h00 – 22h00 and continue with another exciting line-up on Saturday night.
